Workshop Programme

Naar binnen – Inward Balance

Daoist Monk Morning Routine

Discover a modern adaptation of a traditional Daoist monks’ morning practice.

This Qi Gong sequence is designed to help calm the body and mind, improve focus, awaken your energy and prepare you for the day ahead.

A simple routine that you can take home and make part of your daily life.

Zhineng Qigong: Taiji Ball

Taiji Ball Nei Jing is one of the more dynamic exercises within Zhineng Qigong.

Regular practice can help develop inner strength and a sense of calm in everyday life. During this workshop, we focus on understanding and practising the fundamental movements.

Language and Poetry in Tai Chi

Tai Chi is sometimes described as the everyday poetry of the body.

By finding new words and images to express age-old principles, each movement can become more meaningful. Metaphors from music, gardening and cooking can help us understand and embody Tai Chi principles.

In this workshop, we explore how language, imagination and movement can support embodied learning.

Silent Meditation

Silent meditation is a simple practice using concentration and breath to turn your attention inward.

There is no goal other than returning to yourself and creating space for inner peace and awareness.

Balance Within

Chi Kung: Dragon Breath

The Dragon Breath technique focuses on a strong and deliberate exhalation during the exercises.

We work with broader and more stable stances, larger movements and powerful breathing patterns. The practice encourages awareness of breath, movement and inner energy.

Biomechanics & Yoga: Autonomic Nervous System – Part 1

Discover how simple yoga practices and practical movement tools can support your body’s ability to move towards rest and recovery.

We explore ways of working with the body and nervous system to encourage relaxation and a greater sense of balance.

Biomechanics & Yoga: Autonomic Nervous System – Part 2

In this second workshop, we continue exploring practical ways to support the parasympathetic nervous system.

Learn techniques that can help you relax, restore and replenish your energy while developing greater awareness of your body.

Sound Healing Meditation with Singing Bowls

Experience a gentle sound bath with singing bowls designed to create a relaxing and immersive environment.

Sound and vibration can help you release tension, deepen awareness and create space for reflection, creativity and relaxation.

In Balance with the Outside World

WuShu & Self-Defence: Exploring Inner Strength

Explore the relationship between stance, breathing, movement and confidence.

Through simple martial arts and self-defence exercises, discover how stability, awareness and resilience can be developed without relying on physical size or strength.

Pencak Silat

Under the guidance of Henry Otgaar, the Pencak Silat school in Maastricht combines self-defence, personal development and respect for Indonesian cultural traditions.

The workshop offers a welcoming introduction for beginners while also providing depth for experienced practitioners.

Tai Chi: Push Hands – Tui Shou

Learn how to root yourself and create a stable foundation for balance and stability.

Through playful partner exercises, you will explore your own boundaries and those of your partner while developing sensitivity, relaxation, awareness and connection.

Tui Shou demonstrates how softness and relaxation can become a source of strength.

Qi Gong: The Language of Qi

Qi Gong is not only an individual practice — it can also be a way of connecting with the world around us.

Through partner exercises, we explore how to become more aware of Qi, movement and presence in ourselves and others.

By learning to sense and harmonise together, we discover forms of communication that go beyond words.
